Subject: smallpiper still alive and kickin' From: GUEST,smallpiper Date: 24 Jul 02 - 12:45 PM Hi guys and galls I have been absent from the cat for several months this was due to a catastrophic computer failure, I lost my job, my home and partner and had a minor heart attack. However, having borrowed a computer (whilst mine is still in the dock yard) survived the health scare and moved into a grotty flat, I am still gadding about playing at as many sessions and festivals as I can. I now fully understand the meaning of the saying that this is no rehearsal. To all my friends email me as I currently have an empty address book then I'll be able to fill you all in with the events of the last few months. Finally anyone going to the Durham folk party this weekend? |

Subject: RE: BS: smallpiper still alive and kickin' From: Skipjack K8 Date: 24 Jul 02 - 01:44 PM John, could you apologise to your mate John who came to the Hase last night. I was showering a cloud of invective on Oaklet (who deserves these things) and John got the wrong end of the stick and thought I was talking to him. I was probably lucky he didn't slot me there and then, but he seemed understandably distressed. Next time I'll just give Oakers a slapping instead. Good to have you back with us. Your recent life events sound like a blues. Skipjack |
Subject: RE: BS: smallpiper still alive and kickin' From: weepiper Date: 24 Jul 02 - 02:04 PM Wow smallpiper, sounds like a bad few months. If it's any consolation I did wonder where you were when there were no posts for a while. Glad you're on the road to recovery anyway. You might be interested that I just bought a set of old 3/4 size highland pipes. This will be the last set. I can....kick...this....habit! 3 sets of pipes is enough! ;-) |

Subject: RE: BS: smallpiper still alive and kickin' From: GUEST,smallpiper Date: 25 Jul 02 - 04:58 AM Thanks Guys and Gals Yeah things have been a bit poo over the last few months and as yet I'm still not out of the woods but I'm buggered if these things are going to beat me. I'm Durham bound this weekend and am planning on going to Whitby for the full week of the festival (if that dosn't kill me nothing will). Tip:-) If any of you are visiting festivals over the summer wear your 'cat t-shirts its the best way for other catters to identify you - I've already met several at Cleathorpes and Rotherbury as a result. |
