Subject: Help: Crucie(n/m)ella Italian guitars? From: katlaughing Date: 15 Aug 02 - 06:28 PM Anyone ever heard of these? My sister just bought herself a new guitar (I'll let her tell you about that one. It's real purty!) and had this one lying around. Would like to know if it is worth anything before she gets rid of it. The tuning pegs have "made in Italy" on them and inside the box there is a large paper label with what looks like Crucie(n/m?)ella in a printed, stylised script. Nothing else anywhere that we could find. I've done a search on google and all I could find was some thing in Italian about a botanical with that in its name, nothing about guitars. thanks! kat & bet |
Subject: RE: Help: Crucie(n/m)ella Italian guitars? From: Whistle Stop Date: 16 Aug 02 - 07:51 AM When I was young I had an electric guitar and an electric bass made by Crucianelli. They were pretty cheap instruments that my Dad picked up at a department store, basically because neither he nor I knew at the time how to tell a bad electric guitar from a good one. I think this would have been around 1969, when I was 11 years old and had been playing guitar for about a year. Basically, Crucianelli was Italy's version of a Silvertone or Sears/Montgomery Wards type of instrument. Not saying it's without value from a personal standpoint, but it's not likely to be worth much in monetary terms. |

We didn't figure it was probably worth a whole lot...I think our other sister is going to just pick around on it...see if she is still interested in playing or not. Hey bet, Mudcatters always know, don't they!? I love it! Thanks, again, kat |
