Senor Spaw is not okay. Never has been, never will be. Aside from the fact that he is, er, uh,(how shall I put this?), not so well-endowed; he has also become acutely aware that his Jubilee, the Barrister joke which he has told umpteen times, has grown stale. As has his Mississippi jokes. But the hardest blow he has been dealt was dealt by Little Hawk, when, in spite of much opposition (and shall I say, much panic by Spaw?), L.H. managed to create our new Mudcat Icon, namely, the Great Man, William Shatner!

These are hard times for our beloved Spaw. We must all offer a moment of silence in honor of our favorite gaseous Ahian, trusting that his beleaguered ego shall somehow rise above his shame, and that once again, His Flatulence shall return in full regalia!

This place don't make sense to me no more! Can you tell me what we're waiting for, Senor?

Khandu actually has the best answer to this question as I've never been okay in the entirety of my life!

Yeah, I've been here much less and for pretty quick looks only because the past couple of months have been good family time and we've stayed pretty busy. The kids are back in school now and the first of the school year is also more hectic as they have gotten older. Tris is doing some new program things that are parent intensive and Michael is really going through a big jump in maturity to where we are having lots of real talks about everything from soccer to adoption. All in all I spend much les time on the net than before but I'm sure I'll have some times when I'll be on hot and heavy. I'm also working at trying to get a Skate Park built in this pissant town and things could be going better......

As to threads, kat pulled the message I had previously posted and it's true for me. Also, I think that on a lot of threads that are started on any subject, musical or BS, even the ones I might have posted to before, I don't often post to now because I have previously said whatever I would say....and probably said it 4 or 5 times before. I mean for chrissakes, I have almost 18,000 posts around here so I've said it somewhere (probably) already. If you figure the word count I think I have outdone War and Peace by a factor of 2 or more!!! Now I look at a thread and think, "Screw it.....I've posted to three others over the years just like it." I guess I just get bored ... not because the thread is a boring idea to those participating, but because I've participated on a few others just like it before. I still enjoy reading the new responses!!! This kinda' thing is just a factor of being around here for a long time and posting a lot.

NOW.......What's this about Dover Susan??? Are you going to be in the area or what? The 'Fox doesn't live all that far off either and I haven't seen her for awhile so if you're thinking of it, let us both know what's happening. I guarantee (as will 'Fox) that Warther's is one of the most memorable places you will ever visit.

Mick, I'll try to get caught up on my duties at LFPS, Layabouts For Hire........I've really gotten short on my personal layabout time so I need to get that under control first......I mean, "Shirking" is my middle name!

Well, Pat, you see we stayed with H'fox on our recent trip to the old homeland, and she had these pliers.... and mentioned your love of the place.

If the dates can be worked out, I offered a week of respite care to Hardi's folks sometime this fall. Hardi's dad has been poorly for some time, which is why we have been going back and forth so often. Hardi's mom (who is caring for him beautifully) needs a chance to Go Far Away, so I had her train me in all her routines while we were there. So I thought a MudMeet I am NOT hosting might be a heck of a lot of fun, before or after that exercise, and all I know now is that it will be fall sometime, when I can fit it in around all this damn music-community-building I've been doing. Dang you, Pat, you ain't got here to our house YET, so since I can't make it as far as your place, to see your ugly mug, I thought maybe I could lure you to Dover!

If not this fall, then next summer, when Hardi and I make the trip again and stop at Dover on our way out, which would be early August.

I KNOW H'fox is in! She's the troublemaker who started this! *G*G* (I mean came up with the brilliant idea.) Snagging (hmm, possibly snogging, I owe him one) Big Mick would be a bonus. And where better than Warther's? That John Hardly fellow ought to be recruited as well, from the farside of Ohdiana. I understand he's about an hour off 80, so maybe he and his missus could cruise over as well. And Ms. HippieChick is not far from Chez Warther, either. She's been here housesitting-- blows a mean recorder, that girl, and tambourine? Shake it, baby!
