Wow, what a beautiful late summer day for jamming, and what a fine bunch of jammers!! Banjoest, the guy with the Jack in his Jacket, and his friends and family make quite a crew; fiddler Mark and his gal Maggie showed up too, later on, and we made the greensward ring. We did songs from soup to nuts, and played on and on until our fingers were sore and the Park was running out of afternoon. Wandering audiences came in and out, and were generally highly appreciative of our efforts, and Banjoest's remarkable picking drew them in like flies to honey. We bluesed and gospel'd and blues-grassed our little fingers to the bone.

There was something about a hip flask in there, but I forget what was in it but it was very hip!

And I got to discover that I don't play the bass fiddle very well!

All in all, a wonderful afternoon in a wonderful place, and thanks to all who participated!! See you all next time -Saturday the 28th!
Same time, same station!

Thanks a lot guys! It was a gas.

I would like to thank everyone who braved the heat and showed up yesterday and picked. Amos was in wonderful voice as was Bear and their guitar playing wasn't bad either. Janet did her usual and laid down a good bass line and keep all our timing in check. Janet gets an extra pat on the back. She played till she got a blister on her picking finger. Mark showed up later in the day and in a short amount of time showed us he was a fine fiddler. Thank you all for a great time.

I'm looking forward to the next time. And by the way Amos, it was "El Presidente Brandy" in the other flask.

Hugh

Blues, Gospel, bluegrass -- what, no doo-wop?

Sounds like a fantastic jam, folks! Can't wait to join you on Sept. 28!
