OK, after a little research I think I have them all except 13, 17 and maybe 20. I have an answer but can't think of an animal by that name.

Some of my answers are silly and therefore probably wrong. 20 is probably wrong, or spelled wrong.

I think I have sixteen right, not sure about 5, needs some clarification as I've never heard those terms?! Also, have a possible-fer-sure-maybe on 13 and 20, but am wondering if 20 is one of those which is creatively-spelled?

So, I need to figure out 5, 10, 12, and make sure of 13.

The second half of #11 is cheating!!! That is NOT white, it's white with black spots!!! Still don't have 13 and not sure about #20.

I think 13 is closely related to 7 and 10, while 20 is an invertebrate - though still a member of the animal kingdom.

13 is related to 7, if you are not considering 7 as being related to 10!!
4 is a UK slang term which caused problems when this quiz was used over here as well. (I remember it from the old Jennings books,) If in doubt, think of a 'Nose job' (Chambers C20th does give the meaning of money)
Sorch's description of Q11 is more accurate.
17 I was given a suggestion of "Mutton Chops", good answer, but not exactly what I was looking for, think insects!

Kat: No 5 the terms 'summer' and 'totaller' would be quite specific to a mathematician (even a schoolkid) The animal might be British only, (a snake)

No 13 I've had answers of Bulls & Bears, but these are people who buy/sell in a rising/falling market. A separate term is used for those who speculate in new issues.
Someone earlier (quite rightly) suggested a relationship with the answer to No 7

Hmmm...well I had straight A's in math, until I hit algebra with the teacher who only taught the top 4 college-level students, in 8th grade! My daughter thinks I have an almost savant ability to remember numbers and to do sums in my head, but I'll be danged I have never heard those terms. Still a fun quiz!!

13 is certainally in use in Australia. As for 4 I remember a verse from a rather questionable song:

Thanks Tony; I'd forgotten about the "Wild West Show", and it doesn't appear in the DT, presumably because only the chorus is sung, and the verses are of varying length.(crudity & comedy being considered more important than rhyme or metre)

Also, as different people input verses as required, a single, standard version is not available. Perhaps something to be remedied!
