I once picked up a used copy of Electric Mud by Muddy Waters. It didn't have the accompanying liner notes, and I always wondered who the lead guitarist was. I figured it wasn't Muddy, whose ingenuity seems to fall along predictable lines. I thought of it while listening to Sail On, the collection of his great hits from the early 50's. A neat collection.
