Subject: Free downloads From: GUEST,Nicola Date: 29 Sep 02 - 11:55 AM Another question ... does someone know sites with free mp3 downloads of Irish traditional music? |
Subject: RE: Help: Free downloads From: DMcG Date: 29 Sep 02 - 01:10 PM MP3 downloads are always a bit sensitive, because they are often taken from CDs or whatever of someone who is trying to make a living, perhaps in part, by selling that music. An alternative is to look at files which hold what is, in effect, the notation for the music. There's plenty at the abc home page, togteher with sites that can download music to print or play them. |
Subject: RE: Help: Free downloads From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 29 Sep 02 - 01:45 PM But stick around this thread, because there are people who put their own music up and are happy to have people download it, and some of these are pretty good. |
Subject: RE: Help: Free downloads From: mack/misophist Date: 29 Sep 02 - 02:17 PM For free downloads of Celtic music which were put there by the musicians themselves. Try mp3.com. Their pay is a per-centage of the profit from the users accepting ads, so don't bounce any ads you get from mp3.com. |
