Maybe I can look up the proper chords for you later – no time right now – if someone else doesn't beat me to it in the meantime. But the chords you posted are definitely not correct!! |

Subject: RE: Chord Req: Rubber Duckie from Sesame Street From: Genie Date: 03 Oct 02 - 03:55 PM Thanks, folks! Being just a tad too old to have learned this as a child, I've been wanting those lyrics and chords. I love the song! Genie |
Subject: RE: Chord Req: Rubber Duckie from Sesame Street From: wilco Date: 04 Oct 02 - 11:36 AM Thanks. the big problem here is that my rubber duckie can't sing along in all of these minor and diminished chords. Plus, we sometimes sing it under water in the tubbie, and I have trouble getting these tough guitar chords right under water. For the typical semi-literate, guitar player, what would work in major chords and 7th chords. I want to teach this to lots of kids, and the chords have to be simple. AND, PLEASE!!!!! Don't anyone tell my little know-it-all grandson that his grandpappy whodo was wrong on this. |

Subject: RE: Chord Req: Rubber Duckie from Sesame Street From: SharonA Date: 04 Oct 02 - 12:47 PM Oops! Sorry; the chord above the word "tubby" should be a Bm (B minor) chord. (I previewed the post before I submitted, and I still missed that boo-boo!) Correction noted and change made. |

Subject: RE: Chord Req: Rubber Duckie from Sesame Street From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 04 Oct 02 - 04:57 PM With all due repect to Mr. Jeffrey Moss, KIDS' SONGS JUST SHOULDN'T BE THAT #@&%#@ COMPLICATED! Ya write a song fer a kiddie show knowin' full well that every time anyone in the world picks up a guitar in front of a kid the kid's gonna want 'em to play that song. And then ya go and make it so complicated that 95% of the guitar players in the world couldn't play it if their lives depended on it. Thank God for sensible people like SharonA who dummy it up enough that real parents and grandparents can play the thing. Now, where'd that kid go? Bruce |
Subject: RE: Chord Req: Rubber Duckie from Sesame Street From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 04 Oct 02 - 05:12 PM If a Joe Clone would be so kind as to close the BOLD after the word "complicated" on the above post, I would appreciate it. Apoligies for the inconvenience. Bruce |
Subject: RE: Chord Req: Rubber Duckie from Sesame Street From: SharonA Date: 07 Oct 02 - 01:22 PM This song has been running through my head since last Friday... and I don't even HAVE kids, let alone grandkids!! Aaaauuuugggghhhh!!!! *G* |
Subject: RE: Chord Req: Rubber Duckie from Sesame Street From: MMario Date: 07 Oct 02 - 01:26 PM "Rubber Duckie" is a mindworm...; as are many of the Sesame Street songs - one of the many reasons the show is successful. I don't know if it was deliberate or not - but not unexpected. |
Subject: RE: Chord Req: Rubber Duckie from Sesame Street From: Clinton Hammond Date: 07 Oct 02 - 02:04 PM "95% of the guitar players in the world couldn't play it" So you think that your inability is reflective or the majority? Bold... I suspect you're incorrect, but bold none the less... |
