Hi Mudcatters, Im not a regular visitor, but if I'm stuck, I usually end up here.

I am producing a new double CD compilation of Jake Thackray songs (no new material, just a retrospective) and we are having trouble getting a decent photo to use for the front cover artwork. All the pix we have are copyrighted and so of no practical use to us. So, my plea : Has anyone got any *privately taken* photos of Jake Thackray that they might loan us for use in our artwork ? We can't pay a fee except in kind (maybe a free copy of the CD ?) and all photos will be returned.

I have a friend who lives in Clun, in Shropshire, and he used to work and appear with him (so he says) I could ask him if he has any. He does a brilliant impression of him and plays his songs well. I'll get back to you with anything he says if you'd like me to.

I saw him in the supermarket this morning (really). But I don't suppose he'd have taken kindly to being snapped whilst buying his veg.
