Subject: RE: NW Acoustic Roots Music Sessions From: reggie miles Date: 11 Oct 02 - 07:24 PM Oops, my mistake, they "expect" the first show to be sold out but it isn't yet. So, they advise you reserve your tickets now if you wish to attend the early show. |
Subject: RE: NW Acoustic Roots Music Sessions From: reggie miles Date: 14 Oct 02 - 11:47 AM Wow! This concert event, or should I say series of events, got off to a great start with a near capacity room full of eager listeners. Everyone had a thoroughly grand time, including the performers. What a treat it was to entertain such a fine gathering of folks. I understand the event was recorded too, both audio and video. So, there will be an opportunity for those involed in the production to view and listen to it again later. I'm thankful for that because I was hangin' out backstage through most of show. Another event is scheduled for January but I'm not certain what type of music will be represented during that show, but the performance next March will focus on acoustic roots blues and I was asked to participate in that show as well. I love working in a concert atmosphere and am looking forward to having the opportunity to play this venue once again. I hope all of you Pacific Northwest catters come out to support these future shows. Like the Folklife Festival, these events fill an important niche in this part of the country by providing a showcase for local talent to shine. Thanks to all of you who came and I hope to see you again in March at the SecondStory Repertory. Reggie Miles |
