Hello...
Could anyone provide me with information about sheet music /songbook of the song "can you understand" from the group Renaissance ?
I do have the lyrics and the guitar chords but would want the whole lot to be able to play the magic intro on the piano ....
Appreciate any advice ...
Thank you
Dagmar

The above link does have a lot of info on the band and recordings etc. Its not your site, is it?

It does list a songbook published by Warner Bros, but the list of songs, does not include the title of the one you refer to. Do you have the composer credits? That might help.

I did see them perform once, in the early days, when Keith Relf, (yes he who sang with the Yardbirds), was the singer. They used to have a problem gigging then as many venues just could not provide a quality piano. It was rather essential for their music and I remember a show being cancelled for that reason. The band had turned up but could not perform as the piano was crap.

Sorry I can not be of much help

Thank you... checked the page... unfortunately the songbook does not have the song as you said... well..will try more and write an email to the webmaster of that page as it is not me..:-)
Interesting what you write about the gig you saw or not saw because of bad pianos... can imagine that they need a well tuned one etc..
but usually that should have been sorted before anounicing a gig at all??
anyway.. will continue to look for the tune ..should anyone else read this and come up eith an idea or may be even write the stuff down !!! please contact me....
thank you
Dagmar
