Subject: BS: Membership recognition From: weerover Date: 28 Oct 02 - 05:02 PM As a recent member I have found this forum invaluable, would like to return the favour by finding some lyrics/info other members are looking for. Have posted occasional messages over the last couple of months and sometimes appear to be recognised as a member, sometimes not. Would this relate to which machine I happen to be using at the time? |
Subject: RE: BS: Membership recognition From: Susanne (skw) Date: 28 Oct 02 - 05:12 PM Definitely, weerover! It's nothing personal :-). I think all those who visit the Mudcat on a regular basis recognise you as a fellow member all right. Hope you'll stay for a while. Susanne (who joined in April 1997 - shortest five years in my life!) |
Subject: RE: BS: Membership recognition From: Jeri Date: 28 Oct 02 - 06:11 PM Weerover, there's a small file called a 'cookie' that Mudcat puts on your machine when you log in so it recognises you. If you use a different machine, you can log in as yourself on that too. |
Subject: RE: BS: Membership recognition From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 28 Oct 02 - 06:31 PM On any strange machine (or on any strange browser as well - say you normally use Internet Explorer, and one day you use Netscape or Opera for a change) you just need to login, or you have to come in as GUESTweerover. You just go to Quick Links, select "login" from the menu there and press Go. Then on the page that comes up, you indicate that you are a member, and it asks you your name - the name that appears at the top of your posts; and then it asks your password. And bingo, when you get back to the threads, it knows who you are, and your posts are headed "weerover". |
Subject: RE: BS: Membership recognition From: Joe Offer Date: 28 Oct 02 - 11:26 PM Say, Weerover, in QuickLinks, we have a long list of Unanswered Requests (click). Can you help with any of them? -Joe Offer- |
Subject: RE: BS: Membership recognition From: weerover Date: 29 Oct 02 - 10:56 AM I'm sure I have 4 or 5 of the lyrics to these unanswered requests. Will do some digging when I get home. |

Subject: RE: BS: Membership recognition From: MMario Date: 29 Oct 02 - 11:22 AM Sean: blickifier also below this box marked "make a link" it will take you to a page where you can put in the address and whatever text you want to appear in the link and will create the code for you to copy. weerover: *big grin* we're short about 3800 tunes for the DT. Wanna get involved? |
