Subject: BS: making cd's of friends just for fun From: mg Date: 01 Nov 02 - 12:30 AM I don't know the first thing about this..but I can make cd's at work and do need the practice because I have to really make them. So don't turn me in. But I am going on a long car trip shortly and would love to have some fun stuff to take...like if people here had stuff they could email me without blowing up my computer...I have no idea what my mail box would hold or if that is a good idea...or I know there are free sites on the internet....I love Irish and Scots and Welsh..that sort of stuff... So first of all..does anyone here have anything for an amateur to download and listen to and sing along with. If I ever get proficient I will of course return the favor. mg |

MP3.com and other sites like it let you download tracks, at your convenience, which is better than trying to check your email in a hurry and having to wait twenty minutes for a 5-meg mp3 to crawl through a dialup line..and it may not work and choke your email pipeline instead. (sorry, that sounds a little alarming. these problems are not fatal.) W-O |
