Subject: Tech: Guitar Pickups and Tables From: GUEST,Richard Bridge (cookie and format C) Date: 20 Nov 02 - 05:38 AM We had a thread on here a couple of years back about a structure that could be attached to the inside of the bridgeplate of a guitar and used a strut to the tailblock to assist in controlling or curing bowing of the table. Can anyone find the thread (I can't, I've tried) or does anyone know the URL of the maker's website? Second there have been countless threads about undersaddle pickups. Can anyone point me to them and does anyone have views about the I-beam as against thin film technologies or the Highlander or other undersaddles? What about built-in pre-amps - on the side or endpin ones? Would a sort of permathread containing links to guitar tech threads be a good idea? |

Subject: RE: Tech: Guitar Pickups and Tables From: GUEST,Richard Bridge (cookie and format C) Date: 20 Nov 02 - 09:10 AM I eventually found a whole lot of threads about acoustic pickups - but no decided opinion on whether the LR Baggs I-Beam or the Pickup the WOrld or other was best. I also found the other one - Bridge DOctor - you'd think I could remember that, no? |
