Vital Spark are doing several concerts of West Gallery Christmas carols over the next few weeks. On Saturday 30th November they are appearing in the Worcester Christmas Fair at 1.30 and 3.15 p.m. On Friday 6th December they are in Old St Martin's Church in Worcester at 8 p.m. On Sunday 15th December they are at the Brewery Arts Theatre, Cirencester at 3.30 p.m. On Wednesday 18th December they are in West Malvern Village Hall at 8 p.m. On Sunday 29th December they will be at Clodock Church, Herefordshire at 7 p.m. Full details here http://www.vitalspark.org.uk

The Cirencester concert was packed. If you missed it don't forget West Malvern Village Hall on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m.

Only one to go now - that's in Clodock Church the Sunday after Christmas at 7 p.m. If you've never been to Clodock it's a lovely village church with a real west gallery. Mulled wine and mince pies will be available after the concert.

Will try to be there Folkie. I love your stuff - got both CDs, waiting for the t-shirt.

I've just discovered that there is a West Gallery musician in the next village to me and it's something that's really caught my imagination so I guess i may pursue it.

Actually, there's a couple of members of Vital Spark I wouldn't mind pursuing, but that's another story.......!

To all at Vital Spark, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Upton Folk Festival.

Vital Spark are a wonderful vibrant choir, and Clodock is ideal.

I remember being overwhelmed by the Church and its rural setting.

The Church was a favourite place for a retired preacher friend, David Tipper, who had lived in Hereford but asked to be buried in Clodock.

Say hello to him for me.

He would have really appreciated the traditional use of the gallery by a choir of Vital Spark's standing and stature.

Ye we're very much looking forward to Upton. We'll be practising our festival set once our Christmas concerts are over. In the meantime there's Clodock on Sunday evening - our favourite event of the year - come and join us.
