I've been around a while but just snapped to what's going on in "Áine's Mudcat Songbook". It occurs to me I can't be the only one who hasn't been checking it out. There are all kinds of new songs, parodies, tunes, whatever, written by our own 'catters. The Creative Ones are constantly adding to it and you will see one of the latest of the threads go by from time to time.

Áine or anybody expert on this who would like to comment on how people can participate or contribute, please add to this thread.

Oldtimers who want to yell at me for bringing up a subject that's in the FAQ and has already been discussed in other threads: Kiss Off! Better yet, stop starting BS threads and add to the songbook or the DT!

How sad that only one song in the book has the author credited as "Anon"! ;-)

Hi patty! as *further information* there is a link to the songbook in the pulldown "quick links" menu.

song lyrics can be sent to Aine or posted in the songbook thread Additions to Mudcat songbook

Please understand that Aine is battling a bad back - which prevents her from doing much computer time these days!

If you spot something interesting in a thread - you can also post a note to the "additions" thread to bring it to Aine's attention.

Song Challenge! entries also end up in the mudcat songbook.

guest - the mudcat songbook takes submissions at the request or with the permission of posters in the forum. if the submitter wishes to be listed as "anon" I am sure Aine would comply.

There are some I sent I probably should have credited to 'Anon'. I'm going to have to find out where the Anon "California Steamin'" originated when SuperSearch works again.

AIne's a little indisposed, I believe, with a flu or something.

However there is a recurring thread you can bring up called "Additions to the Mudcat Songbook" into which you can post candidates for the Songbook. ANd a PM will always get an ansdwer from her sooner or later -- make sure you choose to send it to "Áine" rather tha "Aine" -- both names are in the user list.
