MERRY CHRISTMAS from my little corner of Washington State, SW corner of the SW corner..Long Beach Peninsula, home of cranberries and Willapa Bay Oysters (and some meth labs). A beautiful sunshiney day here today. I was going to go up to Tacoma but I think I will stay here and invite family here over the weekend if they are so inclined. Just me and the ocean then.

And Merry Christmas from one who wishes she were in back in Washington. One of these days! Meanwhile, I've just made one of the last adjustments necessary (read: bought a software program and some cables) to begin transferring some of my Dad's songs from cassettes to CD. For those so inclined, there may be some access to the songs of John Dwyer in the New Year.

Merry Seasons Greetings Mary! My bro lives in Westport (if you can call that living) about an hour North of you! Come Springtime, when he thaws, I'll be down with my annual gifties. If time permits, I'd like to drop down and say Hi. It's been a couple of weeks, or so! CHEERS, Bob Nelson

Happy Holly Daze and Merry Christmas to you, too, mary! I think of you everytime I look at my tree. It has a strand of cranberries which we have hung each year since about 1985. I love the way they dry and look. They also rattle in a neat way. I think, this year, that I will make a few more strings. They are so beautiful. When I tried to do that back East one year, it was so damp that all they did was rot. No matter, I could not get them to dry the way they do out here. Hmmm...maybe a cottage industry there...selling real, old-fashioned fresh-strung, sun-dried cranberry strands!

All the best for the New Year, too, from sunny Colorado,

kat

you are on to something...I didn't know they didn't rot...they rot pretty fast in the air here..but we could get the cranberries to a dry state maybe...

Merry Christmas from the great state of Maine where we are awaiting a Christmas snowfall. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.

You can always dream. I'm dreaming of a grey Christmas so people don't slide around on the roads. Big wind warnings for tonight and tomorrow. I'll go to the ocean and think of everyone. mg

Hi Mary--

Merry Christmas, happy solstice, etc., etc., from the "Heartland," Kansas U.S.A. We don't have to dream of a white Christmas, we've got one. About 2 inches of snow last night, and more on the way. Guess I'll wait til weekend to visit my Mom in the Texas Panhandle; they've been snowed on more than we have.

Great holidays to all the Mudcatters. Stay safe and warm.

Lin
