As mentioned in an earlier thread, the Sun Inn at Beverley has been voted the CAMRA pub of the year in East Yorkshire. On Saturday January 25th the licensees, Steve and Elaine, are being presented with the award in the pub.

Steve and Elaine have decided to make the evening a "thank you" to those who have supported them and helped to make the Sun into the pub it is today. Consequently they have booked the Doghouse Skiffle Band to play that night, are putting on a free buffet and have around 200 pints of real ale to give away.

All mudcatters who come to the sessions at the Sun and all of the bands that have played there are invited.

AHA!! Have just realised it's the 18th we're playing in Hull. We're actually free on Saturday 25th. Mick will be pleased! I may, however, be out of town. Not sure yet.

Don't forget, also, that Sunday 26th is my "last Sunday of the month" session and that there will be even more free beer for performers (if you,and I, have recovered from the night before).
