Subject: RE: BS: Frivilous lawsuits we'd like to see From: Liz the Squeak Date: 18 Jan 03 - 05:05 AM It may not be frivolous but one of the longest running court cases is the one brought by the Laird of the Clan McDonald against McDonalds the "food" chain, sueing them for bringing the name of McDonald into disrepute. The Laird hasn't a bat in hells chance of winning against the giant corporation, but it gives him something to do in his retirement and has meant we are spared some of the nastier forms of 'Mcfood' names. Just thinking about it is causing me all sorts of stress. My attorney recommended I see a psychiatrist and save a copy of the bill. My government contacts are currently tracking your Safeway Club card to extrapolate your yearly income. |
