Subject: Lyr Req: looking for the title of a song

hello everyone. 1st time i've ever posted on your board. i have recently become interested in the blues. i live in south florida and there really is no blues radio stations to listen to to start to familiarize myself with to hear different songs and artists. i have been listening to the blues channel on my direct tv as my only source for blues. awhile back as i was driving in fl i picked up a public radio station that was playing blues tunes for the hour. i heard this awesome song but cant remember the title, artist, our album, or even label it was on. it was a real groovy song. i'm pretty sure its a female led group. main lyrics/refrain went something like this: "you've got to put something in to get something out, thats what love is all about"
it is a really great song, gets you going. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you for your time

Hi Jason. Sorry, but I don't know the song you're looking for, but do you know the name of the station, 'cos they may have a website, which could have playlists or at least an e-mail address for feedback -- just a long shot, but worth a try. If you're in a position to stay on line for a while, it's worth looking for blues stations with on line listening capability -- radio on demand!
Any way, welcome to the Mudcat -- there'll be someone along soon who'll know the answer.

BJ

Not being a blues person myself, I don't know the answer, but Mudcatter Tweed should check in sometime today. His website ishere, and you might want to post your question there as well.

Hi Jason --- 'refresh' is just a way to bring the thread back up to the top of the list when it's about to disappear off the bottom. I took the liberty of doing it on your behalf, so more people could see your question.
Glad you're making progress -- keep plugging away!

BJ
