Subject: Big She From: cockney Date: 24 Jan 03 - 08:10 PM I used to know this bird called "Big She" she frequented the local folk clubs, singing Joan Baez songs. She was brilliant! Does anybody know what happened to her? Did she make any albums? I just wish I could see her again. |

Subject: RE: Big She From: Rustic Rebel Date: 01 Feb 03 - 07:43 PM I tried a search for her and all I came up with so far is a bunch of tits and ass sites on big women! I have never heard of her. What does she do in style of music? Peace. Rustic |
Subject: RE: Big She From: Mugwump Date: 02 Feb 03 - 05:46 AM Joan Baez sort of stuff, but with a bit of oomph! |
Subject: RE: Big She From: rock chick Date: 02 Feb 03 - 06:55 AM oomph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'Big She' is this anything to do with her personality or it a stage name or what? Names fascinate me do you know how this one came about? Must admit I have heard the name but nothing else much about her. |
Subject: RE: Big She From: Mugwump Date: 02 Feb 03 - 08:16 AM I heard a story once that the name came from an incident back in 1943 when she took in six orphaned pygmies on christmas day to share her family's festive lunch and pull a cracker. They called her"Big She" (cos she was taller than they and female) and were forever in her debt, travelling to the four corners of the earth with tales of BIG SHE & The Christmas pud, Big She rescues Rover, and Battle of the little Big She. She was once considered for the Nobel peace prize and there were even whispers of Big She heard in certain parts of the Vatican! |
Subject: RE: Big She From: Rustic Rebel Date: 02 Feb 03 - 12:11 PM Then there should be something out there on the internet about her. I'm interested. Does anyone know if she has an album? I would almost think so if she was up for a nobel prize. Peace. Rustic |

Subject: RE: Big She From: Dave Bryant Date: 03 Feb 03 - 12:00 PM Brenda Wooton is a (How shall I put it ? - I'd hate to incur her wrath) rather amply proportioned lady singer from the county of Cornwall. She once gave a pasty-making workshop at Sidmouth. In the past, she used to perform with a character called "John the Fish". Come on Woodsie, who are you referring to ? - I'm sure it'll turn out to be a member of FOLKMOB - Dipsodeb perhaps ? Spill the beans or I'll tell everyone about the things that you get up to with Charles Atlas ! |
