Okay, occasionally the bizarre wins over the mundane day-to-day hum-drum of reality. I offer tghis one as "Exhibit A"....

Today in a trailer park outside of Winchester, Va. a man who had been bitten by the family dog called his wife at her place of employment and said told the wife that he was going to kill the dog. The weapon? A shotgun. But not with firing the shotgun at the dog but using the shotgun as a club.;

Well, Catters, ol' boobert is here to say that if you're ever plannin' on beatin' yer dog to death you minght want to read the rest of the story.

The man, Raymond Foore, aged 45, took a 12 guage shotgun and swung it at the dog. Upon inpact of the dog, coupled with the impact of the floor of the trailer, the 12 guage went off, killing Mr. Foore on the spot.

Speaking of Spot? He doing fine...

Obviously he never learned that a gun IS a weapon--not a club,hammer, pry bar, etc. If you want a club, get a club not a shotgun. Darwin Award!

The take-home message here, of course, is that Guns Don't Kill People, Dogs Kill People. Or Dogs Kill People With Guns Who Try To Kill Dogs.

I wonder why the dog bit the poor guy in the first place...
