I was away in Australia for 3 months, where I had a great time.
But now I am back here in Scotland amongst the snow and the ice and to tell you the truth I love it here.

Hmmm... haven't seen too many Scottish homesick songs pining for the ice and snow of "the auld country". Nor any Canadian ones, for that matter.

Smells like another songwriting exercise. Where's my rhyming dictionary?....

Still, not really a "homesick for the ice and snow" song, izzit?

And "Snowbirds" are what we call retired Canadians who winter in Florida. (that's where our fiddler is for the month of February).
