I'm teaching there! I'll be in Camp One (used to be called Irish Camp) doing a daily workshop called Mouth Music Around The World. I've gone for several years, and it is a strange and wonderous place. Will you be the for the whole nine days? Be sure to look me up!

pj

Kat, why don't you come on out and join her? The three of us wouldn't have any fun at all... :o)

Ah, don't you know...it'd be just plumb pitiful!

(I am saving my pennies for a visit with our son in the opposite direction, p.j., or I would! Howsomever, IF I get to take that trip, I will finally be able to clap eyes on Spaw!!)

Hi! p.j. Glad to hear that someone will be there that I kind of know. I'll be sure to look you up. I couldn't figure out where I should ask to be so told them to put me anywhere. I'll be in camp 2, tent. Maybe I'll know more later I'll pm you when I do. It all sounds really great!   bet

bet, you should know that there's no bad place to be at Lark. Camp Two is about three miles through the woods from where I'll be (this camp is HUGE) but they have shuttles running about every 10-15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. so you can always get where you want to be, no matter where you're sleeping. (sleeping is optional at Lark anyway...)

Camp Two is beautiful, right on the creek and full of hurdy-gurdys, jazz singers and clog dancing, among other amazing things. It is managed by two of my favorite people in the whole world, Art and Robin McClish.

It also has the reputation as the quietest camp, absent the mind-numbing 3 a.m. drum and fire circles of Middle Eastern Camp (Camp Three) or the whiskey-infested all-night fiddle sessions of Irish Camp (Camp One.) Camp Two is a great place to actually get some rest so that you can attend classes the next morning, wherever you go!

Can't wait to see you there. Now, what can we do to try and get Katgiggling-and-snorking, 'Spaw-who-wishes-he-was-49, and all the other reprobates up to the redwoods with us?

love,
pj

Anyone else going to be there?

Look for John Slaymaker, a very nice guy and a good (and very shy) singer. A regular at Shay Black's Starry Plough sessions and at the S.F. chantey sings. This will be his 1st Lark. Please help make this pal feel welcome.

Glad to know that there will be another shy one, someone besides myself, there. I'll look for him.   P.J. if you see him trip him so I can meet him. I'm really anxious to see this place. The car is loaded and I'm ready to go.   It's really loaded,, full of stff from Alaska. I won't leave until around 8, have to give that L.A traffic time to clear out before get that far.   I hope I get there without getting lost.   The map is confusing.    later,   bet
