Subject: Somers Trad Folkclub - Worcester UK From: GUEST,Bob Date: 08 Feb 03 - 11:21 AM A number of rumours seem to be circulating that STFC isn't meeting at the Albion, Bath Road, Worcester. THESE RUMOURS ARE UNTRUE! One can only speculate as to why someone would do this and I can only assume it's jealousy that a traditional singers' club is thriving despite his (Mr Red/Cresby Brown) preditions. We are alive and VERY well at the Albion, Worcester, UK EVERY friday from 8.30. Bob |

I got an e-mail about the pub before Thurs which was accurate the time it was sent. |

Subject: RE: Somers Trad Folkclub - Worcester UK From: COINWOLF Date: 09 Feb 03 - 06:57 PM Would like to got there more often but... It is on a Friday night, It is up a flight of stairs, and there is a charge for admission, which is a little difficult to understand, when the people who come provide the entertainment, (the Albion must charge for the room?). Whenever I have been, a very good evening. An opportunity to change from the Albion to a more disabled friendly venue, would I have thought be worth considering, especially as there must be funds being used, or available to hire such a venue. Good luck with your present predicament. |
Subject: RE: Somers Trad Folkclub - Worcester UK From: Folkie Date: 10 Feb 03 - 08:00 AM I'm quite sure Mr Red would never circulate a rumour without good reason. A number of us received a similar email last Thursday saying that the Albion had closed. It was only natural to spread the word so as to avoid people making an unnecessary journey |
