Subject: BS Guess who's packed in moth balls? From: harpgirl Date: 16 Feb 03 - 07:17 PM ...yup I saw him, but I smelled him first! Kendall does have a fine new rig (as in motor hime) but he packed it so full of moth balls to keep the mice out he can't find them all to get them out! We played with the North Florida Bluegrass Association and this morning in the pouring rain I dragged him to look at the Suwannee Springs on the Suwannee. He won't let Seamus in the Suwannee. He's afraid an aligator will drag him off... He did say it's much better than 28 below in Maine! He'll be checking in so don't forget about him... |

Subject: RE: BS: Guess who's packed in moth balls? From: harpgirl Date: 16 Feb 03 - 08:04 PM ...well, this morning before breakfast at Wafflehouse, we saw a big blow up gorilla that got blown over in the storm. I was going to crawl under it and get him to take a picture but neither of us had a camera! They took a lot of pictures and movies at the NFBA meeting of us playing last night! |
Subject: RE: BS: Guess who's packed in moth balls? From: SINSULL Date: 16 Feb 03 - 08:27 PM Spread some whole cloves around in the RV. It will absorb the moth ball smell. Don't get over enthusiastic with the cloves or it will reek of them. Spaw, behave yourself! Harpy, take good care of Seamus and the Captain. I checked his place out today and all is well. Temperature went to 19 today. Balmy compared to 17 below earlier in the week. Hope the snow is gone (more tomorrow) by the time he gets back. |

Subject: RE: BS: Guess who's packed in moth balls? From: catspaw49 Date: 17 Feb 03 - 12:19 AM Amos, when you say "You take care of those two fine outstanding wild-assed characters," are you referring to Kendall's mothballs? BTW, when Sins suggests replacing Kendall's mothballs with whole cloves, I don't think he'll go for it. Hell, they're even smaller than his mothballs and are biologically non-functional.....Not that Kendall's are functional now, but, uh.........well, you know what I mean........................And you'll notice I aun't touchin' that stuff about a blown gorilla..............I mean, who would do such a thing? Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: Guess who's packed in moth balls? From: Dave Bryant Date: 17 Feb 03 - 11:40 AM There's much worse smells than mothballs ! A couple of my friends (Pete and Glen) used to live on narrowboats (canal craft - up to 72 feet long, but with a beam under 7 so they can get through narrow locks). They'd spent an evening in the pub near their moorings and at closing time one of the catering staff gave Pete a big bag of fish heads for his siamese cat, Paget. As was their habit they took a bottle of scotch back with them and retired to Glen's boat to drink it. Paget attracted by the smell of the fish joined them on the boat, and quickly found it's source. Realising that he couldn't scoff the lot, Paget decided to hide the remainder in all the nooks and cranies of Glen's boat while Pete and Glen finished their bottle. It took Glen weeks to find the last of the fish, and by that time they smelt so bad that even Paget wouldn't go onto Glen's boat ! |
Subject: RE: BS: Guess who's packed in moth balls? From: Helen Date: 17 Feb 03 - 05:01 PM Oz revenge game # 53 Put prawn (shrimp) heads in hollow curtain rods and replace finials. Person who desperately deserves it can't find source of foul smell - and boy, do they reek! Oz revenge game # 54 Put prawn heads in hubcaps of car. Same result. Helen |
Subject: RE: BS: Guess who's packed in moth balls? From: SINSULL Date: 17 Feb 03 - 05:35 PM True story: Jilted ex put shrimp in the bed post and replaced the finials permanently with glue. The smell pursued him. hee hee I accidentally let a basket of blue claw crabs loose in the bottom of my brothers boat. I didn't know how to lift the floor to get at them so...I didn't. I wasn't allowed to use his boat ever again. |
