Subject: Review: New CD from Mad Rush From: Kernow John Date: 19 Feb 03 - 07:27 AM Mudcat's own Deni has released a new CD. Buy, beg, borrow or steal a copy. Deni, one half of Mad Rush has a cracking voice and is supported by other half Den, no mean singerand musician himself, and some talented local musicians. Never mind the trad songs included (beautifully sung) or even the couple from the late 60's. Listen to the self penned lyrics I gaurantee you will find a handfull of songs you want to sing yourself. There is one track in particular that will appear on a future album somewhere listed as "By Moonlight" traditional arr.xxx. Regards KJ |

Subject: RE: Review: New CD from Mad Rush From: Deni-C Date: 20 Feb 03 - 01:29 AM That's a very kind offer John. (I seem to have a missing link to the lyrics page.) But I shall persevere in the meantime and hope I can get it sorted. The site is actually appearing in the next issue of web pages made easy magazine, as a 'quick fix'. The chap from the mag has suggested some more graphics and various other updates. Enjoy Ireland. I've never been there, although my family comes from Cork and I believe some live there still. Cheers Deni |
Subject: RE: Review: New CD from Mad Rush From: Deni-C Date: 28 Mar 03 - 08:21 AM We've been asked to do a huge and scary gig. We've done quite a few supports at the Wharf, Tavistock in Devon, which seats 220 people. Now we've been asked to do a concert there on our own..... EEEK. It's more excitement than i can stand. We're going to have to publicise the hell out of this one to get a respectable ( or should I have said resonable) crowd. I've asked Mike O'Connor to play his lovely fiddle accompaniment on Music of Time and he's also going to do a 30 minute slot with sogs, fiddle tunes and stories. The gig is on June 21, Tavistock Wharf. Tickets £6. Best Wishes Deni |
Subject: RE: Review: New CD from Mad Rush From: C-flat Date: 28 Mar 03 - 04:03 PM As a proud owner of the new C.D. I'm happy to reccomend it to all Mudcatters! There's lots of well crafted original songs, some outstanding musical talent on display and all deftly arranged and recorded. You might say, I am impressed! Get yours today! Deni, good luck with the gig (you've nothing to fear). As I said in the PM, it's a pity I'm too far from you to come and support you but I'll be looking out for you if you get to come North. |
