Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: GUEST,Claymore Date: 07 Apr 03 - 10:09 AM Just a quick note to say I made it, and am now back at work for the first time in two and a half weeks. I have a ton of work to catch up on so, I'll make this quick. I want to thank Bobert for dropping by the VA hospital and bringing a printout of the above good wishes. As I told him at the time, he really reached across our past differences to make contact, and I appreciate it. I also want to thank Giac for her nice card. It came out of the blue and lifted my spirits, just before a particulaly unpleaseant operation, (angioplasty). It was amazing to me how such things happened from people I've only met on the Mudcat. Finally, thanks to CarolC who somehow managed to get the word out after a call to O'Hurleys General Store ("Center of the Known Universe" to those from our part of West Virginia). I hope you and JtS are doing well, where ever you are currently calling home. God Bless you all, and may I remember this in the heat of future comments. You deserve better... |
Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: Bobert Date: 28 Mar 03 - 09:44 PM Yeah, Larry what ever happened to Donna Rice or was it Dawn Rice or was it Bambi Rice? Anyway, if poor ol' Claymore thought he'd have to go out in Ollie's shorts, I reckon he'd be out of there in no time. But between Nurse Ballbuster's panties or Ollie's shorts, I'll guarentee you he'll go with Ollie! Bobert |
Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: InOBU Date: 28 Mar 03 - 09:33 PM That is not enough of a threat... tell him we are going to get Oli North to smuggle him out of the hospital in HIS panties... Cheers again Larry |
Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: InOBU Date: 28 Mar 03 - 09:31 PM Tell Claymore if he doesn't get out of the hospital soon, we are going to get Oli North's secritary to smuggle him out of the hospital in her panties.... Cheers Larry |

Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: Bobert Date: 26 Mar 03 - 07:34 PM Hey, whomever it was that slipped me the box cutter, a big thanks. Man, them folks over at Tweeds will duct tape yer butt up over nothin'. I once said somethin' about Eric Clapton and found myself ductatped to the Tweedsburg Park bench. Ahhhhhh, I'll try to go see Claymore again in the next day or two and would appeciate it if no one tipped him off. He might have had a relapse and think ol' Bobert is Ho Che Mihn reincarnate and we'll have to go throuh the boobie traped hospital room, the rolling on the floor and, worse than that, Nurse Ballbuster! Anything but that ol' gal. Bobert |
Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: Ella who is Sooze Date: 26 Mar 03 - 06:31 PM THanks Seamus... going stir crazy here not being allowed to do anything at all... instead. whilst there was no one to keep an eye on me today - I did too much and know I know why they were telling me to take it easy... Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: Little Hawk Date: 26 Mar 03 - 09:31 AM I know what you mean, Giac...I tried to take my Bowie knife on the flight to Trinidad in February, strapped to my belt as usual in its nice leather scabbard with the American Eagle motif, and you wouldn't believe the hassle at the airport! I don't know what the hell is wrong with them people lately. Ain't they never been in the woods? - LH |
Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: Seamus Kennedy Date: 26 Mar 03 - 12:05 AM Claymore and Ella, best wishes for a full and swift recovery. Duct-taping Bobert to the wall was the best thing that's happened round here in a while. Seamus |

Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: Ella who is Sooze Date: 25 Mar 03 - 06:21 AM Larry thanks for your thoughts. I'm at home now, recovering and having to take 6 weeks off work (damn)... I'm just in a little pain, for which I have excellent pain killers, and lots of friends and family to take my mind off things. I really do wish Claymore all the very best, I met him in Ireland two years ago... we share a family name and it was great to meet him! Get well soon! Ella |

Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: Bobert Date: 24 Mar 03 - 08:58 PM Now I ain't got nuthin'against no purple ribbons and bells but Iz a bit cornfused about no contra dancin'. You nedd a good ol' countra girl to dance with? 'Er is this one of them Ollie North things? Hmmmmmmm? Plus, the way I got it all drawed out here on this paper in front of me, Iz gonna turn Claymore into a fire breathin' liberal. Well, it wasn't all my idea. I gotta give some credit to the Wes Ginny slide rule. Awwwww, heck, it was all the slide rule's idea. But, hey, looks good on paper... Bobert |
Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: CarolC Date: 24 Mar 03 - 08:48 PM Hey Tweed. The real danger isn't so much what Bobert might do to Claymore, but the other way around. We'd better keep a close eye on those two or pretty soon Claymore'll have Bobert joining up with a morris dance team and going to Sunday contra dances. If you see Bobert with bells and purple ribbons on, tape him to the wall, quick. For his own good ;-) |
Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: Tweed Date: 24 Mar 03 - 08:23 PM Boberdz, git the hail outta thar and leave him in peace for he kin recover properly. Sorry Claymore but he got loose and haz run amuck before we could net him. Get well soon before that crazed hillbilly comes to see you again and gives you a relapse or somethin worse. ;~) Yerz, Tweed |
Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: Bobert Date: 23 Mar 03 - 06:31 PM Well, danged! Ol' Bobert figured he just print up all these gposts and take 'em to Claymore over at the VA hospital in Martinsburg, WV, but some one had tipped him off. Well, this little life changing experiebce must havce brought back a flashback er' somethin. I reckon he thought I was some kind of commie and so he had boobie-trapped his hospital room! Well, hinda... So I walk thru the door and promptly trip over an I.V. tube that Claymore thought was attached to his room mate but he had had mixed it up and it was his and so when I tripped it yanked poor Claymore right out of his hospital bed and he landed on top of me. Well, I startled him so bad that he just popped me a couple good ones and being the gentle anti-war hillbilly that I am, I returned witha couple of my own and purdy soon the two of us were rolling around right there on the hospial floor kickin', punchin', bitin' and gougin'... Well with all the comotion, Nurse Ballbuster walks in, grabs Claymore by one ear and me with another, knocks our heads together, duct tapes him to his bed and me to a chair next to his bed and reads us the riot act. Claymore told her that I started it and, well, I told her that he started it and then she said that she was in mood to whop both our butts and to "Shut Up!"... Hmmmmm? So I'm lookin' over at Claymore and he at me and, well, thare ain't nothin' that bonds a couple of hillbillies like a common enemy and Nurse Ballbuster fills the bill quit nicely. So the two of us figgured that we had better find some other commong ground so we got to talkin' and purdy soon we found out that we got lots of stuff in common and well (the Bobert gets all misty eyed) since we had Nurse Ballbuster to worry about that we'd just have to be friends... And that's my story and until Claymore gets out and fills in any details I might have missed, it will have to do... As for Claymore, he's gonna be fine. He's just gonna have to do some diet stuff and some exercise. The doctors say he's gonna have to satrt doing more wlaking so I reckon I'll invite him to a few peace marches. Whaddayathink? Wonder if he'll notice the "Peace" sticker I put on the back of his car out in the parking lot? Oh well, Claymore say "Hi" to all... Bobert |

Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: catspaw49 Date: 21 Mar 03 - 09:08 PM Claymore, I think we finally got somethin' in common!!! Whatever your situation, I'm thinking about you and wish you the best. I can tell you from experience that what can be done by cardio folks is amazing to say the least and their skills along with their numbers are growing. Relax and do the do......Ain't much else you can do! When you get back, we'll swap some war stories. Carol, hospitals often have both an ICU and a CCU although others don't. If he is out of extreme danger he may be in a CCU of transferred to a cardio floor where everyone is monitored, but at differing stages of recovery. The fact he has been moved is a plus in itself. Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Claymore in hospital From: CarolC Date: 21 Mar 03 - 05:04 PM I got word today that he is being moved from the ICU to wherever they move people to from the ICU. I guess that means he must be out of serious danger now. |
