Subject: Sort of music question... From: Dave the Gnome Date: 15 Apr 03 - 05:42 PM There used to be a web site where you entered the names of artists or bands you like and based on the choices you made it recommended others. I can't find it any more. On google it finds one for me at www.ffly.com but that takes me somewhere else. Can anyone help? Cheers Dave the Gnome |
Subject: RE: Sort of music question... From: Jim Krause Date: 15 Apr 03 - 11:23 PM Sounds interesting. Never heard of it though (That doesn't mean much.) I'll be watching this thread to see if you get any answers. I'd be interested, too. Jim |
Subject: RE: Sort of music question... From: paddyspig Date: 15 Apr 03 - 11:59 PM If you go on CDNOW.."I usually do a web search for it"....Its now powered by Amazon.com I believe. Type in a CD or an Artist that you love and it will bring up the CD LIST of that artist. Pick any one of them and it will kick out a suggestion list that reads.."People that have purchased this CD Love these CDs" Ive tried it myself when searching for New Female Vocalist that I might like in the Celtic Field. You can then click on the other CDs that you want to sample and here some short exerpts of some of the tunes.. Hope that Helps Susan |

Subject: RE: Sort of music question... From: red max Date: 17 Apr 03 - 08:05 AM The All Music Guide usually lists comparable artists/albums, but sometimes they're way off the mark. A good site, though http://www.allmusic.com |
