Here are the lyrics I have to Harry Hibbs' Mother Malone aka MaryAnn. :-)

Mother Malone (MaryAnn)

Some boyos when they go out courtin',
Sure they haven't the spunk of a mouse;
They'll stand on the corner and whistle,
They're afraid to go into the house.
But I'll walk in with me swagger,
As if the whole place were me own;
And I'll sit me'self down with "Good evenin',
How are you old Mother Malone?"

So I kissed the old woman and hugged the old man,
Gave Johnny a dollar and I shook hands with Dan;
Fight for his sister I'll do all I can, I'll do all I can,
And then I'll walk out with me girl Mary Ann.

Well I'd only been courtin' her a fortnight,
When her heart and her hand I had won;
So the next night I went to the cottage,
The old woman she called me her son.

So I asked the old man for his daughter,
His son-in-law soon I would be;
And he says, "On me soul, Pete McNulty,
You can have both me daughter and me!"

So I kissed the old woman and hugged the old man,
Gave Johnny a dollar and I shook hands with Dan;
Fight for his sister I'll do all I can, I'll do all I can,
And then I'll walk out with me girl Mary Ann.

####.... Author unknown. Variant of an Irish traditional. Recorded by Harry Hibbs (1942-1989) on his album Fourth ....####

A variant was recorded in the 1920s by The McNulty Family which explains the reference to Pete McNulty. And a variant was recorded by McDermott's Handy on their album, Come Take The Byroads (Pineland, 1983). Another variant was recorded by Neal O'Leary of Western Bay, NL, on his album, While I Was Gone, (Great Big Studios, St. John's, NL, 2004).

Of course, you might even find the lyrics in the Digital Tradition...
It's listed under "Mary Ann 2." I found it for searching for "boyos when they go out."

As far as I can tell, we're missing the tune and chords for this.

Found a reference to "McDermott's Handy," presumably a band, at folk index with a recording on their album, "Come Take the Byroads," Pineland PR 9022085 (1983), cut #B.06 (shown as "Mary Ann").
