Subject: Sons of the Emerald Isle From: Murray on Saltspring Date: 07 Aug 98 - 12:26 AM I'm looking for the tune of a song of the above title, to fit another set of words going like this: The new gold mines are all the rage And passage people do engage-- The fever now none can assuage-- Such things me greatly do enrage; For, by the ruins of Thermopylae! It is a ruse of "the Monopoly"! [it's a great rhyme, isn't it? -- the song is about the famous "Fraser River humbug", the mad rush north in 1858]. Any info will be appreciated.] |
