Pleased to report that as from this Thursday 19th June the Song Carriers will be meeting in the Arden Arms, Millgate,Stockport.

The venue has a car park immediately opposite and is at the rear of ASDA supermarket

It is located 1/2 mile from the Portwood roundabout (M60) following Stockport Town Centre sign and turning left at Asda traffic lights under the "bridge". 100 m after the bridge is a small roundabout on which the pub is located.

Looks a great venue so come along with your songs and voices.

Lovely pub the Arden, we had a short stint there as a club. Hopefully we'll see you on Thursday, The Random Lurchers are in the Crown in Hazel Grove as well but we can go to both.

Just got back from first night at our new venue.

A cracking night was had by all. There were 15+ singers and the room had wonderful accoustics - tiled floor and panelled walls!!

This looks like the start of a long stay in what I am sure will turn out to be a first class venue.

No singing next week as there is a CAMRA presentation and the pub will be crammed with people drinking beer.

Therefore we are back in the ARDEN a week Thursday. See you there?

I counted 22 people in attendance, of which only 2 or 3 didn't sing.

Tried but failed dismally to send you an email suggesting that your web-site is updated to advise everyone that Thursday evenings at the Arden Arms is our new regular venue.

When I last looked it reported that Terry was still looking for alternatives to the Red Bull.

I thought of buying a bombard and trying it out tommorrow night, but unfortunately the French shops decided that as it was August they had better close for the 'vacances'!

No tourists could possibly want to purchase anything could they!

Even if I had successfully bought it, it would have been probably confiscated by the Customs for fear it might be a WMD!!!
