From: Desert Dancer Date: 19 Jun 03 - 12:48 AM The IWW song "We Have Fed You All For A Thousand Years" is apparently a re-write of Rudyard Kipling's poem, "The Song of the Dead" ("We have fed our sea..."). Thanks to Big Mick, who gave me his only copy. Apparently, the tune is not the same as the tune Bellamy used for the Kipling poem. The lyrics in the Digital Tradition seem to be right, except that there should be a line break before the last stanza.Also see the Little Red Songbook thread. -Joe Offer- |
