Recently, I was looking for a song from Tin Pan Alley days called "Only Me." My grandmother used to sing it to us. The lyrics I remember were something like, A mother of fashion was being arrayed by her maid when she hears a cry and asks, "is that you my pet, Marie? No, ma, it's only me. Only me, only me, cried in a weary tone..." My brother-in-law did an internet search to no avail. Lynn
