Subject: radio show web cast saturday july 5 From: open mike Date: 03 Jul 03 - 05:32 PM My monthly radio show is coming up on Sat. The low power station does not have a very large coverage area, but i do stream the signal over the internet thru paltalk. So if any one is interested in "tuning in" here is how: on sat. 5 july from 1400-1600 hours pacific time (2-4 pacific, 3-5 mt., 4-6 central, 5-7 eastern, etc.) if you go to Paltalk, and open the groups window, and find the Music group and go to "XcrossXroadsX" you should be able to listen in. If you are within 5-10 miles of Downtown Oroville, CA, you can catch this station at 107.1 on your f.m. dial. I plan to feature the contributions rec'd from mudcats-thanks for all submissions! Subject: RE: radio show web cast saturday july 5 From: open mike Date: 06 Jul 03 - 12:28 AM actually i ws not able to get online from the station today...so the show did not go over the internet...I had fun though and played some Peter Paul and Mary, a Woody Guthrie tune in honor of his up coming birthday, a song from Buena Vista Social Club--Candela...that sings about it being Hot Hot, and I read a portion from the Farmer's almanac which explained that as of july the forth we are actually the farthest from the sun--over 94 million miles (then why is it so HOT!!??) also playeed some Greg Brown and Iris Dement. (I wonder when they are going to do a duet album??!!) sorry to have made yo try to find the show and then not be there....maybe next time! Laurel |
