OK, Amami night was a dumb idea for a thread title. Giving my age away.

Anyway: -

Now where to go this Thursday (today)?

Maidstone, Orpington, or Tudor Barn?

Go on, stick up for your favourite and tell me to go somewhere else...

Richard, what about "Traveller's Rest" at the "Rising Sun" Twitton near Otford. Tonight the Guest is Geoff Higinbottom. It's a nice little session in the bar of a amall pub with good beer. Jon and Pam (of Thrift Music) drive all the way down from Frinton to run it. You can usually reckon on one song from the floor in each half. Here's a map reference. Probably the easiest way is to get there is to take the M25 to the Orpington exit (Jct 4), take the A224 towards Sevenoaks and turn left as you get towards the bottom of Polehill.

Be warned Richard, parking is a bitch, but on saying that Dave is right - super pub and Jon & Pam are good people.

There is a field behind the pub that you can park in - the entrance is on the right at least a hundred yards before you get to the pub - if you're coming from the Otford road.

For some reason this thread went missing for me - despite elf messages I only have it now after returning from Orpington. Too late.

Nad reviewing the drive to Orpingotn and back, probably too far as well. Looks like it's back to Maidstone!!
