Attention all shoppers, the last sunday session of the month (31st August) at the six bells in barrow upon humber will be the lovely niknak's leaving do before she jets off to be a full time layabout (student).

If I wasnt being well paid to go to Cherburg I would be strongly tempted cos she is a lovely fiddle player and she plays well too.

She's off to Newcastle University to do a four year degree in Folk and Traditional music - what a life learning to play the fiddle and flute even better than she does already! Ha it's alright for some!

Count me in, of course. We don't need to lose musicians like nikki, let's hope she does the usual student thing, bugger all work and back home most weekends for laundry and food - or even Tuesdays for the Coach session?

OK, I know the August PtH thread started in July, but why would the Sun's first Sunday session be on the 31st of the month, hmmm?

Nikki's imminent departure must be addling the brains of all you chaps (nothing new there then.)

The 31st is the end of the Hull Sea Fever Festival, when lots of extraneous outsiders will be in the area, and some may not have to dash back.

I think she plans to be rather like a yo yo, deanie. She will be back on a regular basis and I believe will be continuing to play with PTH for a while anyway.

Will try to be there, will also try to bring brain and sun hat so I dont go ga ga after half an hour!! (Played cello with NIKNAK and Oaklet at a weding last saturday, spent too long in the sun and brain went for a siesta!! aarrrgh.....even spilt my complimentary glass of champers :-()
