Greetings catters,

I have been looking for a resonably simple guitar arrangement of St Louis Blues.

Can anybody help. List of chord symbols over words would do just fine.
Got to learn some new material,(well I keep telling myself that).

Thanks
GM (Not Food)

I hate to see That evening sun go down

         G                               C
Cos It makes me think I'm on my last go round

C                   F      F7      C C7
Feeling tomorrow the way I feel to day

F                   F7          C
Feeling tomorrow the way I feel today

       G                            C
Gonna pack my traps and make my get away

             Cm                      G
Saint Louis Woman, with your diamond ring

         G7                         Cm
Pull my heart around by your apron strings

Cm                                          G
Without that powder and your store bought hair
               G7                        Cm      D   G
This heart of mine wouldnt have gone no where , no where

C                                                 C7
Got the Saint Louis Blues just as blue as I can be

          F                        F7                C
Cos that gals got a heart like a rock flung in the sea

    G                   G7             C    F C G
Or else she wouldnt have gone so far from me

Try that for the basics.

Ralph Patt’s Jazz Web Page gives a progression very similar to the one Leadfingers provided but the key is G rather than C. Patt’s progression makes more use of the IV7 chord and changes the timing a little. More lyrics may be found in the Digital Tradition database.
