Subject: Chord Req: Jack Elliott Buffalo Skinners From: MarkS Date: 20 Oct 03 - 05:05 PM Hi All Wonder if anybody is familiar with the Ramblin Jack Elliott version of "The Buffalo Skinners?" I am trying to figure out his tuning and chording - having a bit of trouble. Guess the ears are not what they used to be. Anybody have some insight on how Elliot does this song? Sure would be appreciated. Thanks Mark |

Subject: RE: Chord Req: Jack Elliott Buffalo Skinners From: Steve-o Date: 20 Oct 03 - 06:55 PM You can find it written out with chords and also sung by Roger McGuinn on his FolkDen site. It's keyed in Bm to suit his voice. The progression is Bm-A-G-Bm, D-G-A-D-G, D-G-A-D-G, Bm-A-G-Bm. |
Subject: RE: Chord Req: Jack Elliott Buffalo Skinners From: Mark Ross Date: 20 Oct 03 - 09:47 PM Jack of course, learned it from Woody who only used one chord, A minor. Jack uses two, he adds an F to the A minor. |
