Contrary to reports in Tykes' News, the club will be open every Sunday as usual. The regulars held a discussion last Sunday and we will continue every week but mc duties will now be shared each week.
Our thanks to Norman & Ann Garbutt for bearing the emcee burden for so long, without any help.
The venue is the Oak Tree Inn, Copt Hewick, near Ripon on the Boroughbridge road, past the racecourse, past the Black-a-Moor Inn on your left, and first left to Copt Hewick.
All are welcome, it's a singaround.
See you there?

Could that possibly be THE Ann & Norman Garbutt? Late of Woodcraft Folk?

If so, please email me: jenup@tiscali.co.uk

You may be able to help me with something.

Thanks

Hello Ann and Norman,
I've Just had quick scan through TYKES' NEWS the Autum 2003. Where is this faulse information? As far as I can see Ripon FC is listed in the Filofolk on Sunday's as a Singers & Musicians Club at the Qak Tree Inn Copt Hewick Phone Numbers 01423 541330/01765606995.

Fillofolk is our Free to advertise your Club Section we never change any information unless we recive writen confermation of change.

If there is any faulse information could you please contact FiloFolk. Filofone: 0113 2285919 Filoweb : www.tabbytail.freeserve.co.uk/fillofolk.htm

To advertise in Tykes News or to send in an artical (Club News) please contact our hardworking and unpaid editor (as we all are!) with any copy. That said you have missed the Winter 2003/2004 copydate which was on the 20th of October 2003. Our Fillofolk pages are the last to go to press, I belive, so you may have more luck with Jim Lawton. But I will give you the Tykes Contributions Address. Tykes News

George,
I understood from Norman, he had sent a letter to be included in the next Tyke's news, showing close down times. We then discussed it last Sunday night and decided to rescind the close-down.
I then took it on myself to tell 'Catters the club will not close, OK?
Roger Knowles

I turned up a few months ago, but got the wrong village. I think it was your previous venue. I've since found out that the correct pub was only a couple of miles away, but there you go. Has anyone ever tried to get Dave Hillery to turn up? Ripon was his home town

Hello Roger,
Sorry if I seemed to come on a bit strongly defensive (probably my Dyslexia again just trying to put the record straight). Sometimes I find all this reading a bit confusing but now I know that you know what I new that you really did know I'm sure that we all now know that you new all along what I new you Roger Knowles new. Err I think!!
Pleased to hear that your club is still going strong! Which as you know is really what Tyke's News and Folk Roundabout is all about.
Cheers
George Clarke
