Subject: RE: Friday 21st - Sunday 23rd November From: Liz the Squeak Date: 14 Nov 03 - 11:38 PM It's the same weekend as the Walton on the Naze Shanty Festival, Essex. And a Saturday evening concert in St James Piccadilly, London, but that will be an entirely different sort of music - Bach and Vivaldi! LTS |
Subject: RE: Friday 21st - Sunday 23rd November From: Mr Happy Date: 15 Nov 03 - 08:59 AM Boars Head & Cats Bar available for sessions http://www.middlewichfestival.org/www.htm Mr Happy & fiends will be attending, anybody else? I combined two threads. --JoeClone |
Subject: RE: Winter Festival: Middlewich UK 21-23Nov From: Joan from Wigan Date: 15 Nov 03 - 01:46 PM The Miv Cameron Band have "Middlewich Mini-Fest" on their website giglist for the afternoon of Sunday 23rd, but no specific venue, and I can't find any mention of them in the official Middlewich publicity. Does anyone know where they'll be playing? Also not on the official publicity, but Reckless Elbow are playing the Turnpike Inn on Friday 21st - again, gleaned from the band's publicity. There only seems to be a skeleton programme of events on the Middlewich Festival website, even at this late date. Is anyone in possession of the complete programme? If not, there could well be events which are not well attended simply because nobody knows they're happening. Joan |
Subject: RE: Winter Festival: Middlewich UK 21-23Nov From: GUEST,rob Date: 16 Nov 03 - 07:59 AM The great female duo Anne Taggart and Angie Wright will be there as well. They have been regular guests at MFAB for several years and rightly so. |

Subject: RE: Winter Festival: Middlewich UK 21-23Nov From: GUEST,IanN Date: 20 Nov 03 - 10:28 AM Hi all Full programme should be available to download from festival web site now www.middlewichfestival.org. Free programmes are all round the town already and will be over the weekend. Apologise for the poor publicity on the web site - promise it will get updated sooner in future. Any Catters will be made extremely welcome at the Middlewich Open Mic spot at Boar's Head (THE pub to go to) at 5.00 on Sat. evening. I know of one or two v. talented singers that will be there for sure. Also well worth checking out are The Mighty Zulu Nation who are really good (& I don't normally go for the world music sort of thing). |
Subject: RE: Winter Festival: Middlewich UK 21-23Nov From: greg stephens Date: 20 Nov 03 - 12:38 PM Addition to programme: this may have made it to the website but it's not on the printed programme(which I just read while having a lunchtime pint in the Boars Head): the Loud Mouthed Women will be appearing with Zulu Nation for their Saturday 2PM concert. |
