Subject: Seeking bagpipe recordings From: mack/misophist Date: 01 Jan 04 - 12:01 PM Perhaps the bagpipe enthusiasts here can help with something. I'm trying to fill out my collection of favourite tunes and they're proving to be very hard to find. Can any one direct me to currently available cd's of these tunes: Flowers of the Forest - in piobaireachd style, if possible The Mist Covered Mountain - in piobaireachd, again Donal' Blue - (the version used by the 51st Highlanders to signal lights out any really good slow airs or marches that aren't often recorded Existing cd's seem to be badly promoted. Sites often leave out the song names, giving only type and personnel. |
