Hello all,

I'm looking for a song entitled "God Danced on the day you were born".

It was sung to me on my birthday at a dance camp called "Dancing Fool", it has a swing beat and several verses, though unfortunatly I can't remember a single one.

Sing each part separately, then layer them to sing in 3-part harmony! My chorus sang this last season!

At the moment I can't find the book that was the written source for me, but I'll post it later. I heard it at Old Songs last year, too!

hi,
I was at Earthdance in Massachusetts (www.earthdance.net) 9 years ago when Andrew (Ando) wrote this song for Chris Aiken (a contact improv dance teacher) and then taught ot to all 40 or so of us so we could sing it in harmony to him while he stood in the middle of the circle. It was a very powerful moment for me, and I imagine for him.
I am going back there this August to do the same intensive course with Chris! I wonder if Ando will be there...

...and in a note of shameless self-promotion, let me say that we put the lyrics and notation for "God Danced" on page 64 of the Rise Again Songbook.
