Subject: Tech: My Alesis NANOVERB From: JohnnyBeezer Date: 25 Feb 04 - 03:47 PM Help! All at once my little friend has stopped working. The "ON" light comes on, but the signal light does not. It does not get anywhere near heavy use and is therefore practically new. I am really missing my pal. Please, what can I do?? Johnny N (Technophobe of this parish!) |

Subject: RE: Tech: My Alesis NANOVERB From: treewind Date: 25 Feb 04 - 05:22 PM IS there a signal? Is the input volume (gain? level?) turned up? The light only flashes when there's some sound at high enough level. (sorry if that's insultingly obvious, but the only alternative is to declare it's broken...) Anahata |
Subject: RE: Tech: My Alesis NANOVERB From: GUEST,Banjo,London Date: 25 Feb 04 - 05:50 PM If a light comes on, thats only telling you the light works! If it's nearly new take it back to where you bought it and try to get it exchanged. If its nothing obvious like a broken socket or a wire come off inside ( which is highly unlikely ) then its probably a write off. Cheap digital FX units aren't worth fixing, they are cheap and when they go they go. sorry mate! |

Subject: RE: Tech: My Alesis NANOVERB From: Richard Bridge Date: 26 Feb 04 - 01:07 PM Many music shops have some tech-ability these days. Elephant Music, Gravesend is V. good in this respect as Bob who owns it used to be a TV repair man. He's never charged me more than £20 for an electrical repair (but there have been two BERs) and a new Nanoverb or microverb is a good bit more than that. |
Subject: RE: Tech: My Alesis NANOVERB From: Geoff the Duck Date: 26 Feb 04 - 01:47 PM It's Easy Clinton :- Nano = a VERY SMALL THING. Verb = a "doing" word. Nanoverb = a word that means to do something (but not much). Q.E.D. Quack est Duck! Geoff. |
