Doors open 7.48 and starts at 8.23 or earlier depending on we feel.

The 'Singing Ref' and 'Moses' also appear on a regular basis as does Mike Sparks.

Guru comes when she can.

P M for further details

We have fabulous acoustics.

Hello Lynne.

You are spoiling us with your visits because I hope you will grace us with a couple of songs.

That was a lovely show stopper on Friday you and Pat had saved from your earlier visit.

If you keep on appearing I'll be invitng you to become a future resident, as it is I'll ask if you will consider doing a sunday 'Spotlight' please.

have a good tomorrow-Monday- night at The Waltham Abbey folk club at the Legion

hi Ross, we had 16 turnup on sunday, all high quality performers , aprt from the lead off merchant who had no voice after shouting at rugby.

George Clarke was worth it, a well selected choice of 6/7 songs for his set, and a great finish too.

I'll fit you in at 8.30, O.K?

Jim Faupel is booked in, he's good.

lorna will be on with her new guitarist

Could well make next monday

These two on Friday are the shit-hot, plus Lynne heraud, george papa and Mike Sparks, and the acoustics are excellent

and does he play swedish fiddle tunes?

Errrr.....

Are those knees turning up again on Friday? I may have to think about this on aesthetic grounds.

The "Lead off Merchant" was wearing a red rugby shirt and shorts on Sunday, for those that missed the spectacle.

At least he had the good grace not to sing any Irish songs.

Since no one else answered, i found these answers to my question of yesterday. So for those of you not able to attend here is some info.

*****BY THE WAY friday is NOT march the 11th, *****

Ben's dad: ---http://www.tompaley.com/
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/anniescott/tompaleybio.htm
Ben & Tab--http://www.blazingstrings.com/index.html
there are lots of links on "blazing" pages..
and here is the trad swedish music i was talking about
http://www.mustrad.org.uk/reviews/paley.htm
some sound clips off ben and tab's c.d. here:
http://www.folkweb.com/paleyandhunter/index.php3
they do not have any reviews yet for Dolor Ipse
(this is their album from 1999)
so if any of you get it at their gig, you might
want to sub mit one so future folks can see your comments.

Ben Paley also plays great old time fiddle with his dad Tom Paley and Joe Locker in the New Deal String Band, who were among the guests at the Gainsborough Old Time Festival in February.
Cheers
Ray

Sorry Breezy if you want my vote in the Alternative Folk Awards you're going to have to do better than those 'desert-rat' shorts and grubby knees! Unless of course you're entered in a 'Sartorial Inelegance' category.

Given the nature of this highly prestigous ompetition I will be taking a particular interest in the proceedings this evening!
