Subject: RE: Ben Paley and Tab Hunter in St Albns From: breezy Date: 08 Mar 04 - 07:17 PM hi Ross, we had 16 turnup on sunday, all high quality performers , aprt from the lead off merchant who had no voice after shouting at rugby. George Clarke was worth it, a well selected choice of 6/7 songs for his set, and a great finish too. I'll fit you in at 8.30, O.K? Jim Faupel is booked in, he's good. lorna will be on with her new guitarist Could well make next monday These two on Friday are the shit-hot, plus Lynne heraud, george papa and Mike Sparks, and the acoustics are excellent |
Subject: RE: Ben Paley and Tab Hunter in St Albns From: open mike Date: 08 Mar 04 - 08:53 PM is Ben Paley Tom Paley's brother? (or son?) and does he play swedish fiddle tunes? |
Subject: RE: Ben Paley and Tab Hunter in St Albns From: GUEST,The Stage Manager Date: 09 Mar 04 - 10:37 AM Errrr..... Are those knees turning up again on Friday? I may have to think about this on aesthetic grounds. The "Lead off Merchant" was wearing a red rugby shirt and shorts on Sunday, for those that missed the spectacle. At least he had the good grace not to sing any Irish songs. SM |
