This is on his Hove to and drifting... CD which is playing on Hober right now. It's a beautiful song about Chesapeake Bay. Thanks for any help.

Kat -- its printed at http://www.baylink.org/archive/oldbay.html This Old Earth was one of Bob's early songs, recorded on "Mirrors and Changes" from Folk Legacy. A few years ago, in collaboration with Magpie -- Greg Artzner and Terry Leonino, one of my favorite duos, it was changed, don't know by who specifically, to This Old Bay. Magpie recorded it on "Living Planet" from Collector Records. -- George

According to liner notes on "Hove to and Drifting" :-
This Ol' Bay - is a recycling of "This Old Earth" (from my first album)....a sure sign that I have begun to act locally - though I still think globally (most of the time).

Unfortunately lyrics not printed for any tune on the CD.

Copied from http://www.baylink.org/archive/vr-oldbay.html
(That page takes a while to load, but when it's finished loading, you can hear a recording of Bob Zentz singing the song.)

THIS OLD BAY
(Bob Zentz)

Watched the sunrise on the ocean,
Saw the sunset on the bay,
Thought of time and tides and people,
The past, the future, and today.

This old bay's seen a lot of livin'.
This old bay, the stories she could tell.
This old bay is finished with the givin'.
This old bay we used so well.

This old bay's seen a lot of livin'.
This old bay we've used from end to end.
And now it's time we people started givin'.
This old bay could use a friend.
