Heloo.

jOhn got us this gig in Hull9 next Wednesday night, 17th March, no messing about weekends either side, genuine on the day St. Patrick's Day.

We is 'Silver Spear', and we is me, Blurk in the Corner and Carol 'Brigg Fiddle Festival' Dawson. We are doing hoary old standards, songs and tunes.

The venue is the Tap & Spile on Spring Bank, Hull9, England, and the noise starts, you guessed, around 9. Admission is £57.

Thought you were getting wed on Paddie's night, JOhn. You'll be occupied with a consummation devoutly to be wished.

Well, how was the evening? In the end I stayed at home like a good boy. Have a big day today, and couldn't have faced it with the inevitable thick head. Sorry to let the side down, fellas.

Thank you jOhn. It was really nice, and it was a triumph to see Mandolin Malcolm smiling radiantly. We stopped off at the curry ship and unloaded a couple of £57s into Mustafa's till, and then dined in some splendour in the band bus on't Humber Bridge. Carol's some fiddler, ain't she?
