There is something I don't understand about the chat. Very often, I go to it and the screen says there are 2, 3 or more people in the chat. I open it and there is no one there. Is this due to people failing to log off when they leave?

I often go to log out, only to find I was never logged IN in the first place!!!!

Kendall, that will happen when there are people in a 'private' room which others don't have access to. :-/

The number of people may take a little time to update I have found. I often find that the number of people is differnt from when attempting to enter and arriving - sometimes more - sometimes less.

When several people are leaving at the same time, the numbers can take a big jump.

Sometimes the number shown on the drop down menu will be different to how many are in there if you have not just refreshed the page.

when people go into as private room, the number of people shows up, but not the names of those in the private room.

if you want to have a private chat, agree on a passwords with your fellow private catter chatter, enter the password into the empty box, press the private button and then log in. you will have logged in to a private room, and the only person/people who come in are those with the password.

I have had this too, log in , check chat room, says it has 2 people in, but when you actually go there then they are not really present.

Maybe they are in the mysterious 'away' place.

you get false numbers if people get booted or if they leave without using the "log off" button.
