This is a project produced by Mudcatter Paul Mills. We all know Paul as a result of his dedicated friendship with our own Rick Fielding, also as friend, producer, and bandmate of fabled Canadian Folk Artist Stan Rogers. Paul is also known as an award winning Producer of CD's by a number of artists. Paul and Bev have been working on a CD of songs dedicated to canoes and which benefits the Canoe Museum of Canada. I wandered through the site and was fascinated by the artists involved and the information provided. I would hope that Mudcatters would visit the site and support this very important project. I also ordered one, Jed, and I am anxious to hear it. Paul is very proud of this one, and he and Bev have invested much time in it.

This is great fun as an album -- I have had the privilege of hearing chunks of it over the last few weeks. Not just for Canadians! (A Canadian is someone who knows how to make love in a canoe -- and now there is an album to go with it).

Peter, that was terrible. (In a good way, of course.)

The only recording I've ordered from Borealis was Rick's and the process was very easy. If I had the bucks, I'd get half of everything they have for sale. (And the other half a bit later.)

Yep, Borealis has a great catalogue, eh Jeri? But this one isn't released by Borealis, rather by a company set up by Paul with some of the proceeds benefiting the Canoe Museum.

Just looked at the website. It's a very nice set of songs and artists, but it should be pointed out that the recordings, with two exceptions, are previously released on the various artists own albums; some going back to the '70s. Going down the list, I see that I already have 9 of the 13 songs on my CD shelves.
