Sessions near San Francisco

Subject: Irish Sessions near San Francisco

We are going to be around the West Coast shortly and are hoping to take in the odd session. At the moment what I can find on the web does not seem to correlate with our dates so I wondered if anyone out there knows any better.
We will be in Healdsburg CA on 20th/21st April
and Oakland CA 22nd, 23rd, 24th.
Any ideas?

Go to www.sffmc.org. They have an extensive calendar of folk music happenings. What kind of sessions are you looking for?

Starry Plough in Berkeley (right near Oakland) I think towards the end of the week (Friday?) truly great burgers and the thick dark stuff on tap.

You'll find a few 'Catters occasionally at the Starry Plough's Irish session: P.J. and Dave Swan, Radriano, and Riggy (but not so much since he moved further North). I'm there most Sundays. There's both tunes and singing. It's led by Irish singer Shay Black (of Black Family reknown).

I think we'll probably pop into the Celtic (does that mean Irish these days?) session at the Star Bottles in Oakland next Thursday night as that's quite handy. We'll be on the move by Sunday unfortunately. Not sure if we will be bringing instruments either but it will be interesting to see what's going on.
